Hardware Information
The Dell Optiplex 780, usually are fairly decent machines from factory. Although this unit came to me as an interesting option, it came to me with windows XP, a Pentium dual core, 2gbs of ram, and a 500gb HDD. It's brother machine, the other BTX 780 tower came from the same place with the same specs. These machines were some of the last socket 775 lads, and were some of the best.

This system has been upgraded a decent amount, CPU changed for a Core 2 Quad q9650, 16 (bios limited to 15) gigs of DDR3 ram, an AMD r9 350, a boot SSD of 120gb paired with a data HDD of 1tb. Along with those upgrades the CPU heatsink was upgraded to the tower heatsink from an Optiplex 745 or similar machine, an additional DVD drive was also added. Still retains the original 305 watt PSU as it doesn't need an upgrade.

There is very little things that have given me problems with this machine, the only two things I can name is the original DVD rom can only read CD's and the BTX design doesn't let you fit alot of dual slot GPU's.

The history of this system was me acquiring it round in 2021 or something like that, along with it's twin at the same time, given to me by my uncle. For a while I couldn't really do much with either machine, so this one ended up getting it's ram and HDD stolen to try and help the other machine be somewhat useable until I could afford buying them new ram and such. And even after that it didn't really have much of a purpose existing in it's companions shadow, until.... I discovered my need of a server. Now it runs a full 24/7 being a very important member of the System starting out as just a Minecraft server it now handles nearly everything server wise, besides the website and the things the e520 handles. Along with that it also operates the Ender 3 I have and serves as my bench PC doing renders of 3D models, disk creation, etc. It's hooked up to the Compaq monitor seen in alot of the shots of my desk, fulfilling it's duties.

It runs windows 10 Pro on the SDD, and for when I occasionally need it there is a lubuntu install on the HDD, otherwise that drives just for storage.
